MapInfo User Conference 2012

MAPINFO in the IRISH PUBLIC SECTOR

Challenges and Opportunities for a New Generation

Come to our FREE MapInfo User Conference to be held in Dublin, on March 7th, 2012

Since our last user gathering in Ireland in 2008, we are living in a different world. Technology is moving into the clouds, and open data and open source software are beginning to become credible components of corporate systems. Ireland has changed; from being an economic role model to resembling an economic patient. Even in the world of MapInfo, things have changed with their acquisition by Pitney Bowes Software and their subsequent development of many new GIS-related products. With that in mind, GAMMA and Pitney Bowes Software are bringing you a one day event that will showcase the very best in the world of public sector GIS.

Whether you want to learn how the experts make impressive maps using MapInfo Professional or how to more easily reproduce your content online, there’s something for you at MapInfo Ireland 2012. With a sole focus on the public sector and MapInfo, this conference is for you and if you attend only one conference in 2012, this should be the one.

The conference will address a number of key GIS user groups in the public sector, including water, roads, planning and IT as well as looking at general use. With speakers from MapInfo’s public sector division, from the development team of MapInfo Professional, from Irish local authority GIS leaders and from public sector GIS professionals overseas, we are planning a comprehensive gathering of highly relevant speakers and users.

GAMMA is organising this conference with the support of Pitney Bowes Software to support the continual professional development of MapInfo users across the country.

To register for this unique event, please send a confirmation e-mail to Ronan O’Connor at ronan.oconnor@gamma.ie. Register before Valentine’s Day (Feb 14th for the unromantic!) and be in with the chance to win an iPad at the event. Don’t leave it too late because places are limited at the venue and we are expecting a significant demand.

If you have any colleagues who might be interested in attending this event, please feel free to let them know and they can register by contacting Ronan.

We really look forward to welcoming you in Dublin in March, and we will be in touch over the coming weeks with a full conference schedule, list of speakers and topics.
